Hospital Healthcare Panel to be formed

From WAKG's website:

"The top recommendation of the Citizen's Commission that examined Lifepoint’s operation at the local hospital is about to become a reality. City leaders have announced a meeting next week to organize what will be called the Hospital Healthcare Panel. Danville mayor Wayne Williams promised earlier this month to meet with leaders from Pittsylvania and Caswell Counties to begin forming the new leadership commission. Their goal is to start and maintain a dialogue with Lifepoint over issues at Danville Regional Medical Center. No word yet on the exact composition of the new panel. "

From a previous post.

"No one at the executive "O" level listens to what we have to say and this blog has provided an outlet for those of us living daily in the LifePoint nightmare!"

lifepoint wants dialogue for the appearance of caring , then as soon as the meetings over --pffft--
gone right out the other ear ,
you see the majority of the staff cares about patients lifepoint only cares about money.
lifepoint has managed to operate with a steady stream of destruction in spite of committee's and councils and meetings .I doubt they'll change because of a panel, they need to be GONE.

LPNT stock continues to take a hit. It closed today at 29.90 with a low during the day of 29.57.

That's lower than their 52-week low of 30 set on July 27. And, it's down from their 52-week high of 40.80 back on May 29.

Congrats on the panel. But, will it do any good?? Commission has already made minimum staffing ratios to Jess Judy, he and the other management at Tenn said NO. If you remember the article in the paper, Jess did congratulate the commission for its work and said that Lifepoint would LISTEN to their suggestions (never said they would do anything with them). I wish the panel well, however,I feel they will beating their heads against the wall.`

A ridiculous waste of time. If we don't understand what LifePoint is up to by now, we never will. How many times do we let them lie, cheat and steal? A prediction: They will go down bigtime somewhere, and we will look like the yokels we are for continuing to offer them our leg to p--- on.

Why this complaining about people blogging here who do not live here? I think it's great. It helps get the word out about what these evil people are doing. Did anyone ever answer the blogger who recently asked if we can find out other hospitals Lifeppoint is trying to suck into its web so we can warn them??????

We are not barbarians around here. If someone wants to keep talking and trying to work something out, it's better than nothing. Besides, what else can we do????
We quit using DRMC/LifePoint 3 months ago, but I still want us to have good emergency facilities. Don't you????

Come on, now, Barbarians are a common breed around this town--mainly running the bank, car companies and garbage companies. Oh yes, radio stations, too.

Idiots all.

I read this site from Texas. You would be amazed at what it means to some of us to be able to see what LifePoint is capable of. Just keep it up. And thanks.

Anyone who thinks we are idiots is the real idiot.

Absolutely,
And thanks to the Texan for letting us know it may be helping others.

Quotes from tuesdays R&Bee
"It will also help ensure that LifePoint will follow through on the commission’s recommendations.”

How ?, it's a private corp. now.

"Jess Judy, LifePoint’s Gateway Division president, volunteered at the July 3 meeting to be the hospital representative, Williams said."
I imagine that he will try to use his "local ties" to pull the wool over everyones eyes that he can to stall for more money grabbing time.

“I feel that it is a positive sign that such a high-level person with LifePoint would be appointed,” he said.

Mission accomplished I say.

Yes, clueless ones...it's a PRIVATE company.Enough said.

Did I miss something? I thought LifePoint is a public company, not a private company. See definition:

I think the poster means that it is not a community hospital that must answer to local folks.

Right. You see the Five unethical("insert your own profanities and descriptives here") sold out the control of a community NON-profit hospital that made more in one year than lifepoint has in over two so they could play with the money also destroyed a hospital set up to handle the types of patients that this area has , not the heavily insured cash cows that lifepoint needs to bilk to support it's "O"s and there mega salaries and retirement(golden parachutes)

You got all that right!
