The homepage also provides a link to a public comment form page. Here the public can enter their comments into the database. They also have the option of entering their e-mail address. The homepage also contains a link to a comment page where citizens can view comments that have already been posted. A PDF file link will be placed on the comments page representing each day. That file will contain all of the comments submitted to the site for that particular day. Be aware that the comments that are submitted to this site via the public comment form will not be posted to the comments page for viewing until the following business day. Citizens will be prompted with this message after they submit their remarks.

The Citizens Committee will meet again on Thursday (3/15) at 5:15 pm in the Municipal Bldg on the 4th floor. Seven citizens attended the meeting (2 of whom were Dr. Gary Miller and Councilman Sherman Saunders). Citizens were given the opportunity to address the committee at the end of the meeting. Don't know if this will be available at each meeting. Dr. Miller spoke out about the many frustrations the doctors have concerning the current hospital situation. The committe is in the process of getting together a citizen survey as well as deciding on the dates and locations for the public forums.
Word came down to some departments today that accredidation was in fact denied. Employee forums are being scheduled to discuss the situation.
For those who are not familiar with accrediting agencies, many of them will not give you credit for things that have not been in place for a certain period of time (such as a year or even 2 years). So if something was implemented 8 months ago and meets the standard, it still counts against the organization as it has not been in place long enough. I am curious to see how many of the problems fall into this category. Key people have left since this corporation took over so I am not surprised that some things were overlooked as these people were no longer here to do their job with no one taking ownership of those duties or even knew what they were!
