It's been one month since the article announcing the Healthcare Leadership Council appeared in the Register & Bee.

So...where do we stand?
They've met, we know that much. No coverage in the local media and, unlike the Citizens Commission, there is no central location to obtain minutes or information about their activities, their findings or their results. With the pivotal figure behind the Leadership Council, Mayor Williams, leaving town, where does that leave this effort?
Does anyone know who's on first?

My sense is that many, many people have reached an accommodation with our sad situation in terms of medical care. We are blessed to be within easy reach of good medical services, so far fewer people care about the travesty of LifePoint's presence. This is yet another example of the community being kicked in the teeth by the arrogant bank-boy types, finding a way to work around what they've done, and moving on. There is a long tradition of that in this town. It is a self-protective device. Now that the bank boys have slunk out of hiding to trumpet their self-important presence with the $200 million foundation, people seem to feel things are getting back to normal. The fact Mayor Williams has abandoned the ship of state as well as the hospital is further proof that nothing has changed.
Danville is Danville and will always be Danville.

100% CORRECT It's why all of the young people leave, it's why all of the cities around Danville mock it jokingly and it's why Danville is what it is, a dead old playground for a few rich people and a joke as a city . The parents of these people made fools of past generations and the children from them try to do the same now , lifepoint is a joke , their parent company is a joke , and they are just "bank boys" from tenn.
They continue to facilitate an environment that risks nurses licenses and patients lives every day with no recourse for either of the victims , also no recourse for a city robbed of it's last remaining resource by a few greedy ignorant pseudo educated morons that have ridden daddy's coattails to get where they are , on the backs of working people .The only people using DRMC now are the ones who have lifepoint's pitiful insurance or the one's who can't make it somewhere else.

She has been obsessed with the Blog from the start. she used it to undermine Art and has her "people" watching all posts. I would bet much on the site comes from her or her RUTHettes. She constantly refers to the blog and tells us all to stay away but interesting she posts this and brags about it. The other point I find interesting is that someone she trusts feels comfortable telling us she bragged about it. She is not surrounded by loyal supporters but supporters who operate out of fear.

To RUTHless who wishes to help those leaving pack... if it that comments makes you feel better about yourself then I pray for you. That has been the issue in that you do not and have not made a point to get to know staff (especially those staff members who do not kiss butt and applaud your every word). YOu listen to only those who mirror your opinions. This attitude has created a great loss for the organization. Many have chosen to leave because they refuse to walk your walk and talk your talk. Instead of offering to pack the bags of an employee leaving why are you not speaking to that employee in an attempt to retain them or to better understand the issues so you won't lose the next one? No, your arrogance does not allow that approach. Please pack your own bags and get the hell of Danville. You are poison.
She is poison and of the worst sort. She corrupts the people around her. Frankly, she is an odd fit for Lifepoint. Most of their baboons are more direct. Ruth is slime, slime, slime.
Lord, do people hate her for her meanness and the destruction she has brought to our hospital.
I have seen her meanness first-handed and also the actions of those who chose to be her shadows. Time will take care of them all. You can only live a "false" life but so long. All of our days will come, to include Ruth and her shadows!
